Role Name   Chinese (Simplified) Translator for Voices on Project Management

Description and Requirement

PMI is looking for a blogger who is fluent in both English and Chinese for a one-year volunteer position for Voices on Project Management, a project management blog that is hosted by www.pmi.org.

Voices on Project Management provides insights, tips, advice and personal stories from project managers in different regions and industries. All posts represent the opinions of the bloggers. However, posts may be subject to minor editing for purposes of clarity for global readership.

The goal of this opportunity is to expand readership of Voices into other regions. To do this, PMI is looking for PMPs who are fluent in English and can translate a Voices blog post from English into their native language. For this volunteer role, the ability to provide an accurate translation from English to Chinese (Simplified) a minimum of once a month is required. A PMP is required. Previous PMI volunteer experience is not a requirement.

Deliverable

Translator must be willing to commit to a one-year term (Jan-Dec,2014) and agree to translate a minimum of one post a month from English to Chinese. Translator must be able to meet deadlines.

Duties

Translate one blog post a month from English to Chinese. The post to be translated will be selected by the administrator of Voices on Project Management. You may be asked to respond to reader comments.  The ability to translate project management terms and concepts from English into Chinese is a requirement. A willingness to commit to one translation a month and to meet a schedule is essential.
